21 day challenge complete! My boyfriend and I went in strong and we were looking to cut out meat, lose weight and get overall better at monitoring what we’re putting in our bodies. It took awhile for me to realize that it wasn’t just a diet to quickly shed some covid weight but it actually has changed the way we think about food.
Phil (the bf) is way more active than I am so I for him it was more about eating whereas I had to focus on both. I needed to move around more while being conscious about my eating habits. He lost 10pounds and I lost 8! He lost inches all over and my inches were off my tummy and boobs. Why they gotta take the boobs and not the thighs?!
We got into new habits for work which meant 2 hard boiled eggs, half an avocado and a small handful of berries every morning. A salad for lunch. Apple and almond butter for a snack and something more veggie creative for dinner. It was easy to keep up because I love to cook and did a lot of meal prep for us.
Julie was amazing throughout it all and we’re going back for another 21 days in January!! Honestly haven’t felt this great in a long time and super excited to try out more recipes that focus on being plant based (which is just what we’re trying it’s not for everyone)
I’m too shy to post pics of the before and after so here’s a pic of us today walking 5miles to Brooklyn for a reward slice from our fave pizza spot!
